Overview
The DT and TL series flue gas desulfurization pumps were developed and engineered by our company specifically for flue gas desulfurization and purification systems in coal-fired power plants. They are primarily used in wet desulfurization systems to transport limestone and gypsum slurries.
Building on existing technology, the product incorporates features from similar domestic and international models, offering advantages such as high efficiency, safe and reliable operation, convenient maintenance, and an extended service life.
This series of pumps can also be used to transport liquids containing corrosive substances and tiny solid particles in industrial sectors such as metallurgy, mining, and coal mining. Additionally, they are suitable for municipal sewage discharge and river channel dredging applications.
Uses and application scope of the pump
Our factory has developed the DT series desulfurization pumps, available in two structural designs: horizontal (DT) and vertical (TL). These pumps feature an axial-inlet, single-suction, cantilevered centrifugal design. Drawing on the strengths of both domestic and international counterparts, this series incorporates innovative advancements in hydraulic design, structural engineering, and casting materials. As a result, the pumps boast high efficiency, energy savings, exceptional corrosion and wear resistance, minimal vibration, low noise levels, reliable operation, extended service life, and easy maintenance—making them stand out as some of the best in the industry. The pumps’ overall performance has reached a leading level within China, making them ideal for use in desulfurization systems across various industries, including thermal power plants, aluminum refineries, and oil refineries. They are specifically designed to handle limestone or gypsum slurries. Notably, the slurry can tolerate chlorine ion concentrations up to 60,000 ppm, while maintaining a pH range of 2.5 to 13—a critical factor for ensuring optimal pump performance and longevity.
Types and Structural Features of Pumps
The DT series desulfurization pumps come in two main types: the DT type, which is horizontal, axially suctioned, single-stage, single-suction, and centrifugal; and the TL type, which is vertical, axially suctioned, single-stage, single-suction, and centrifugal.
1. Structural Features and Models of the DT-Type Horizontal Desulfurization Pump
(1) The structural features of the DT-type horizontal desulfurization pump include the impeller, volute, rear guard plate, stuffing box, liner, and shaft seal assembly. The pump head of the DT-type horizontal desulfurization pump features a single-layer shell design. All flow-path components are made from corrosion- and erosion-resistant cast alloys (including the impeller, volute, rear guard plate, and liners). The impeller is securely connected to the shaft via a threaded joint.
The support structure uses thin oil lubrication and consists primarily of components such as the support body, support cover, shaft, bearing housing, bearings, bearing cap, sleeve, nut, oil seal, and water baffle. The detailed structure of the DT-type desulfurization pump is shown in Figure 1.The DT series desulfurization pumps come in two main types: the DT type, which is horizontal, axially suctioned, single-stage, single-suction, and centrifugal; and the TL type, which is vertical, axially suctioned, single-stage, single-suction, and centrifugal.
