Overview
The YZ-type submersible slurry pump is a vertical, single-stage, single-suction, cantilevered centrifugal pump in its design. The impeller is a semi-open type, with agitating blades extending along the suction side of the impeller.
Key Features
Submersible operation, no priming required:
Since the pump body is directly submerged in the liquid pool, there’s no need to prime it with water or install a foot valve before starting—unlike horizontal pumps—simplifying operation and eliminating the risk of cavitation.
Shaftless, leak-free:
The pump is connected to the drive motor via a long shaft, eliminating the need for conventional shaft seals such as mechanical or packing seals. This fundamentally addresses the issue of slurry leakage, making it especially suitable for handling toxic, hazardous, or valuable media.
Compact structure with a small footprint:
The motor and bracket are positioned above the liquid pool, while the pump body is submerged at the bottom of the pool—eliminating the need for an additional pump room foundation and saving space.
Highly wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant:
Flow passage components (such as impellers, casings, and wear plates) are typically manufactured from high-chromium alloy cast iron (Cr26/A05) or other wear-resistant materials, offering exceptional resistance to erosion. For media that are corrosive, rubber linings or other corrosion-resistant alloys can also be used.
Reliable bearing components:
The bearing housing is positioned above the liquid surface and transmits power via a long shaft. The bearings are lubricated with grease and equipped with protective devices to prevent water and dust from entering, ensuring long-lasting, reliable operation.
Multiple immersion depths available:
Pump models with shafts and pipe sections of varying lengths are available to meet different operational requirements, depending on the depth of the user's liquid pool.
